Sallah:Speak Islam, act Islam-Cleric urges muslims.

An Islamic cleric, Mal. Musa Belo has called the n Muslim faithful in Nigeria to "speak and act Islam" in their deeds and interaction withers members of the society by the injunction and tenant of Islam which stress, peace, tolerance, and love among others.


He made the call on Wednesday at the Eid ground at Gadumo quarters in Lokoja, where Muslims went to offer two speciaprayerser to mark this year's EiKabirir.


Ma l.Musa also called on thMuslimsms to put their hope and trust in Almighty Allah and see solutions to their challenges from Him, through consistent prayer, rather than consulting soothsayers.

According to him, for an averaMuslimlim to witness the desired progress in life, he or she must be tested with one problem or the other by Almighty Allah before come success comes their way, stressing that a lasting solution to such a problem could only come from Almighty Allah.


He further advised Muslims, especially the well-to-do among them, to show mercy to the downtrodden through extension the of the hand of fellowship, to help the poor make meaning of ut life, as enshrined in the Holy Quran.


Mal. Musa also called on the Muslims not to forget the care for their parents to get Almighty Allah's blessing and gain entrance to Aljanah nah(heaven) on the day of judgment. 


Our correspondent reports that high highlights at the occasion were the slaughtering of ram by the Imam that led the two rakat prayers while he also offered d special sermon to the congregation at the event.

Meanwhile, a popular Televangelist and politician, Pastor Azemhe Azena, has congratulated Muslims in Edo state as they celebrate the annual Eid-el-Kabir festival.

He enjoined the Muslim faithful to live an exemplary life of tolerance and love for humanity as commanded in the Holy Quran.


Pastor Azemhe Azena reminded the Muslims to follow the virtue of sacrifice as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim to bring about tolerance and peace in a multicultural and religious sensitive society such as Nigeria.


The Cleric added that "this festival reminds us that by coming together, respecting one another and participating in our shared humanity, we can collectively surmount any challenge that comes our way as a people with common heritage"

Dr. Azemhe prayed for a peaceful celebration of this year's Eid-el- Kabir festival, "hoping that everyone will take advantage of the celebration to strengthen the bond within the Muslim community to ensure a greater sense of harmony among people of other faith.
