NUC approves university for kogi, scribe resigns.

The Executive Secretary of, the National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Abubakar Abdulrasheed, has resigned from his appointment at the Commission.

He made his decision known on Monday at the Commission’s headquarters, Abuja, while approving the issuance of a provisional license to Kogi State University, Kabba, Kogi State.

Abdulrasheed based his decision on his willingness to continue lecturing at the Bayero University, Kano where he lectured before his appointment as the NUC scribe.


He described the Kogi State University, Kabba, Kogi State, as his last baby in the Commission, adding that he had granted approvals to numerous universities in the country in his seven-year administration.
