The people of Ayogwiri Community in Edo North, Edo State, south-south Nigeria,  on Sunday, blocked the road from  Auchi to Bode, in protest of the gully erosion that has caught the road by half.

The people are calling on the Edo State government to as a matter of urgency commence repair work on the road before it is cut off.

Our Correspondent gathered that another one is located at Afashio all in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

The road rehabilitation project was carried out during the administration of Comrade and now Senator Adams Oshiomole.

"Nothing was done on the road since then, thereby putting the commuters and Motorists in danger", Angry Motorists complained.

Motorists and Commuters plying the road today have been advised to seek other alternative routes when going or coming to Fugar - Bode or going to Auchi, from Bode and Fugar.

"The Edo State government should as a matter of urgency move in to address the gully erosion threatening the trunk B road in Etsako West local government"

The 50 kilometers road from Auchi connects Iraokhor, Ogbona, and Fugar to Agenebode.
