The President, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, has approved the appointment of the following as Special Advisers:
- Mr. Dele Alake – Special Adviser, Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy
- Mr. Yau Darazo – Special Adviser, Political and Intergovernmental Affairs
- Mr. Wale Edun – Special Adviser, Monetary Policies
- Mrs. Olu Verheijen – Special Adviser, Energy
- Mr. Zachaeus Adedeji – Special Adviser, Revenue
- Mr. Nuhu Ribadu – Special Adviser, Security
- Mr. John Ugochukwu Uwajumogu – Special Adviser, Industry, Trade and Investment.
- Dr (Mrs.) Salma Ibrahim Anas – Special Adviser, Health
The appointments were announced in a statement by the State House Director of Information, Abiodun Oladunjoye.
He said the appointments were made in line with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution and the President’s power to appoint special advisers.
Oladunjoye. added that the appointments were made by the President’s desire to build a strong and effective team to deliver on his campaign promises.
The director of information said the appointees were all experienced and accomplished professionals with a proven track record of service to the nation.
"They are expected to play a key role in the President’s administration in the areas of communication and strategy, political and intergovernmental affairs, monetary policies, energy, revenue, security, industry, trade and investment, and health.
"The President has congratulated the appointees and charged them to work hard to deliver on their mandate.
"He has also assured Nigerians that his administration will work tirelessly to fulfill its promises to the people, Oladunjoye explained.
