Husseina Banshika, the director of news, Radio Nigeria, has been returned unopposed as Deputy President, of the Nigerian Guild of Editors(NGE) at the National Biennial Convention and the election of executive members of the guild in Owerri, Imo state, southeast Nigeria on Friday.
Our correspondent reports that sorting and counting of votes have commenced for the emergence of winners in other offices, as of the time of this report.
For President, it is between Bolaji Adebiyi and Eze Anaba.
The position of General Secretary is between Dr. Iyobosa Uwagiaren, the incumbent, against Oyetade Olanrewaju. Vice President East is between Boma Nwuke and Sheddy Ozoene; Social Publicity Secretary is between Charles Kalu and Ikpong Essien-Udom.
Other positions were elected unopposed except for the standing committee for West and East
