The Kogi State contingent for this year's Hajj have all returned to Makkah on Friday, 12th Dhul-Hijjah, 1444H/30th June, 2023, after the completion of Hajj rites at Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifa.
The State'sAmir Hajj, Alhaji Zakariya Abubakar Aliyu, disclosed this in a statement he signed and made a copy to The Reporters from Makkah on Saturday.
According to him, they are all expected to complete the remaining two pillars of Hajj,concluding all Hajj rites for 1444H/2023 Hajj.
He said:"They are waiting for the departure date to Nigeria.
"However, as they await anxiously for this, they continue with their other spiritual activities, especially in the Grand Mosque hosting the Ka'abah, for greater reward and benefits.
"The State pilgrims conducted themselves in the best manner at the various sites prescribed for the performance of Hajj to the admiration of the assessment team.
"The Commission and its officials were praised by both the NAHCON Monitoring Team led by Dr. Aliyu Tanko and the Saudi Field Service Providers of Group 5. for the pilgrim's excellent behaviour.
" The outbound journey back to Nigeria awaits the NAHCON approval.
