Hajj 2023: First batch of Kogi pilgrims arrive Madina--AmirulHajj.

 The Kogi State contingent for this year's Hajj left Lokoja on Sunday for the Abuja en route to Saudi Arabia for this year's Hajj. 

This is contained in a statement sent to The Reporters by the Amirul Hajj, Mallam Zakariya Zaak Abubakar Aliyu on Monday from Madina.

He said,"The first batch of the Kogi State pilgrims, comprising 550,including the state officials led by the Amirul Hajj, Mallam Zakariya Zaak Abubakar Aliyu in company of the Executive Chairman of the State Hajj Commission, Shaikh Luqman Musa Imam, staff and adhoc have arrived Madina.

"They arrived safely, well accommodated and are settling down for the spiritual activities at the various designated spiritual areas of the city and its environs, particularly in Prophet's Mosque."

The  Prophet's Mosque is regarded as the most prominent focal point of the activities. 


The Amirul Hajj added that visitations to spiritual sites would take place when the second batch of the contingent arrives the city of Madina.

According to him,  already, the second batch is on its way to Madina by air on Tuesday to be be received by the State and National Hajj Commission Officials.
