Members of the Ebira Community in Kano who are the kinsmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial candid
ate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on Monday, organized a special prayer session in Kano, thanking God for making it possible for Governor Yahaya Bello to have governed Kogi State to this level.
They also God for Ododo’s candidature to emerge as the APC flag bearer and prayed for his success at the November 2023 governorship election.
Our correspondent gathered that the Kogi State APC Governorship candidate, Alhaji Usman Ododo was ably represented by Alhaji Isa Yakubu Omade, the immediate past Kogi State Deputy Chief of Staff and Coordinator of Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU) in diaspora-led other member of the group to the special prayer.
Hon.Omade expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and acknowledged the level of awareness and commitment of Anebira in Kano toward the OAU Gubernatorial Project as demonstrated yesterday.
He described the APC Gubernatorial candidate, Usman Ododo, as having the real Kogi Agenda with a detribalized Kogite capable of evolving a unified Kogi State that every Kogites can be proud of.
On his part, the chairman of Odofo Ahmed Usman (OAU) in the diaspora, Alhaji Onota Adam, emphasized the importance of registration at home.
He reminded the kinsmen that "having your PVC and coming out massively to vote collectively will guarantee Victory for Usman Ododo during the forthcoming November election."
Alhaji Onota urged those yet to register or want to transmit their PVC voting right to Kogi State to do so when INEC gives room for such an opportunity.
The hosts, Alhaji Nazir Onumoh and Alhaji Abdullahi Shuaibu (Abdul Total) both spoke under the umbrella of
OAU Kano Connect and Ebira Dynamic Elite Forum Kano respectively.
They asked guests to convey the resolution of Anebira in kano to His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, and the incoming Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo, by God’s grace.
"Our way of contribution towards this project is to be in charge of prayer till the ultimate victory is achieved," they said.
They expressed the resolve that as they kick-started the prayer on Monday, the religious exercise they shall continue and hope to engage eminent Kano- based Mallams as well for the prayer project.
According to them, "When it’s time for the election, “we will mobilize ourselves as usual to cast our vote in Kogi State.”
The Royal father of the eve, who is also a Wokili of Anebira in Kano,Adayi Yahaya, called on all Kogites to sustain their support for Governor Yahaya Bello by f voting for his anointed successor in person of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s APC at the November 11, 2023 election.
According to him, Ododo is expected to continue from the good work Governor Yahaya Bello has started.
Other speakers representing each districts of Kogi Central are Elders like Alhaji A.A Garba, Alhaji Salihu Ibrahim, Jibril Idris Achamaja, Patron of OAU Kano Connect and( VP, Kogi State political Forum Kano), Hajiya Maimuna of FCE Kano.
Others are Mal.Mohammad Dauda Adano, the OAU Kano Connect who moderated the event with Abubakar Ramadan PRO, OAU Kano Connect) and all prayed for Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU) to succeed and called on Kogi State electorate to vote Usman Ododo by doing away with ethnic, tribal and religious sentiments.
They stressed that " every one’s turn shall come to pass."
Sheikh Ishaq El-Okene led other Mallams for the special prayer while Engr Usman Mohammad, a patron, OAU Kano Connect in his vote of thanks described the special prayer event as excellent and the turnout was great and impressive.

Aliyu Abdulrahaman; Coordinator of OAU Gwagwalada group,
Hon. Adozogu Lawal, Mal.Abdurahman Makodi, Engr. Suberu, Hassan Salihu Damisa, Abdulazeez Isah, Alhaji Abubakar Damisa, and Alhaji Abdul Yakini Bello to mention but a few.
OAU Kano Connect in conjunction with Ebira Dynamic Elite Forum Kano organized the special prayer for Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s ultimate victory come November 11, 2023.
