,,,,,, Warns motorists to stop giving bribe Marshals on road 

The Kwara State Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Commission,( FRSC), Corps Commander Fredrick A Ogidan, has visited Unit Commands under his jurisdiction, worried by the growing alarming reports on extortion by patrol operatives and his determination to stop the idea of trucks carrying passengers on top of goods which has led to the loss of many lives in some cases.

This is contained in a report of his second-quarter visit to unit commands under his jurisdiction, signed by SRC.OB Basambo, SPEO RS8.1, KWARA for Sector Commander, and made available a copy to The Reporters on Friday.

CC Ogudan, who warned the operatives against corruption, stressed the need to step up enforcement on Haulage trucks carrying passengers on top of goods.

The Sector Commander advised the staff to obey Corps Marshal's directive and warned that any staff found wanting would face the consequence. 


Basambo added that among the. Unit  Commands visited on 24 May 2023 were Ilorin, Olooru, Bode Sadu, and Jebba.

"In continuation of the visit to Commands to deliver CM's directives, the Kwara Sector Commander, CC FA Ogidan visited Idofian, Offa, Erin Ile, Omuaran, and Odo-Owa Unit Commands respectively on Thursday 25 May 2023.

"He also used the opportunity to pay a condolence visit to the family of Elerin of Erin Ile who joined his ancestors a few days ago.

He warned motorists to stop giving bribe to Marshals on the road.
