Kidnappers demand N40m ransom to free 27 victims, villagers cry to Buhari for rescue.

No fewer tha 27 residents of Yehuti ihave been in the captivity of their Kidnappers who raided the agrarian village of Abuja near Abaji FCT recently.

Our Correspondent gathered that the Kidnappers have demanded N40 million ransom from the villagers to release their victims..

Sources said the helpless citizens, currently in the den of daring Kidnappers, include about eight women seized when the kidnappers raided Yehuti  a week ago.

Some Elders of the village, lucky to escape the kidnappers’ terror, disclosed that the kidnappers, numbering about 40 invaded the village last Monday night.

”They operated, raiding several houses till around three o’clock that night,” one of the survivors said.

”They actually abducted more than 27 persons, but some of the victims managed to escape on the way to the kidnappers’ den,"another villager lamented.


The villagers begged the President, Muhammadu Buhari, to come to the rescue of their relations in kidnappers' captivity.

”President Buhari should please rid these Kuje forests of Kidnappers as a parting gift to the people and villagers of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), where he has been living for the past eight years,” a religious leader who spoke on the condition of anonymity in the area, appealed urged.


The online publucation recalls that kidnappers, operating from the vast Kuje Forests have intensied attacks on defenceless villagers in recent time.

Feelers from the area indicates that in the past few months, the kidnappers have attacked and abducted people from Kiyi, Kpaku, Petti and some other villages including women and children while two persons were killed. The Reporters/Flowerbudnews.
